Project VOTE, which is an acronym for Voice of the Electorate, is a local nonpartisan group working to increase voter turnout and awareness in Brown County. It's urging voters to bring pride to their municipality by going to the polls in large numbers. Project VOTE was founded in 2002 by Glen Tilot. Allouez reported 30.8 percent of its registered voters turned out to vote in the spring election. Hobart and Denmark tied at second-place, with 28 percent each. The county average was 23 percent. The traveling trophy goes to the municipality with the highest percentage of registered voters going to the polls on Tuesday.... | |
